Sustainable Futures™ Training Workshop

  • How to conduct screening-level hazard, exposure and risk characterizations of your chemicals in the absence of measured data
  • Gain hands-on experience with the same models and methods that the US EPA Office of Pollution Prevention and Toxics (OPPT) employs to perform chemical risk screening and prioritization
  • Gain the knowledge to take your products out of the black box
  • This workshop satisfies the initial training requirement towards Sustainable Futures program. Sustainable Futures graduates can be eligible for reduced regulatory review time for dual PMN/TMEA submissions. Presenters: US EPA staff from the OPPT with experience in the EPA New Chemicals Program and PreManufacture Notification (PMN) review process as well as experts in the screening level methodologies

Specific Modules Covered: EPI Suite, ECOSAR, PBT Profiler, OncoLogic, Analog Identification Methodology (AIM), Read-Across techniques, ChemSTEER, E-FAST, Screening level risk assessments

Requirements: Participants should provide their own computers for the hands-on portions of the workshop.
